Welcome to The Orrery
I've set this site up as a demonstrator for web technology - there isn't much here as yet!.
So what is an Orrey?
Wikipedia tells us here that it "...is a mechanical device that illustrates the relative positions and motions of the planets and moons in the solar system in a heliocentric model. They are typically driven by a clockwork mechanism with a globe representing the Sun at the centre, and with a planet at the end of each of the arms." I'll add a picture if I can find a decent one!
Eventually, I'll add the odd bit of technology here to play with.
